Each of the ZenGRC modules feature a similar look with navigation and editing capabilities on the home pages. This allows for the following:
- Faster load time for more items
- Individual item and bulk item editing
- Changeable view to display more or fewer items
- Sorting by any column
- User-friendly filters across all the visible columns
- Export of customized data
- Ability to attach a file to any object
Overview
Multiple activities can be performed without clicking into an individual item. And opening an individual item in the details page provides additional information to add or update. This tutorial provides general instructions for the home pages and details pages that can be applied to most ZenGRC modules.
NOTE
The screenshot above is a representation of the Programs home page. Each module differs in content and headings because of the customization.
Accessing a Module's Home Page
A module's home page opens after clicking a link in the left-hand navigation. If instructions tell you to access a module's home page, this section provides you with general steps for completion. The To-Do List and the Audits home pages are accessed in the same manner as is described in this section. However, their home pages display differently and are documented separately. See Actions in the To-Do List and Actions in Audits.
The following open the corresponding module's home page when clicked and use the navigation instructions in Actions on a Module's Home Page:
- Programs
- Issues
- Vendors
- System of Record
- Tools
- Settings
Accessing the Details Page
The details page opens from any module's home page with navigation instructions documented in Actions on the Detail's Page. The To-Do List and the Audits details pages are accessed in the same manner as is described in this section. However, their details pages display differently and are documented separately. See Actions in the To-Do List and Managing Audits.
NOTE
The example below uses the Programs home page. For instructions on how to open a module's home page, please see Accessing a Module's Home Page.
To access details of an item from a module's home page, complete the following steps:
- Click a linked item in the Title column.
The details page displays with a link at the top to go back to the selected home page.
