Overview
The To-Do List compiles all requests and tasks in one section that are assigned to occasional ZenGRC users. The assignees are sent email notifications on the items needing attention.
Accessing the To-Do List
To access the To-Do List, complete the following steps:
- Click To-Do List in the left-hand navigation.
- The page displays with all your assigned items.

Filtering the List
To filter the To-Do List, complete the following steps:
- Select from one or more of the drop-down menus:
- Related to - This filters the page by audit.
- View by type - This narrows the display by assessment, request due by and task.
- Due by - This displays items due on the selected date.
New comments - This shows only assignments with unread comments.
TIP
As selections are made, the page updates in real time.
Viewing and Submitting an Item
To view and submit an item, complete the following steps:
- Click View beside the desired item.
- The page displays with three steps.
- Read the information and requirements in Step 1.
Review information in Step 2, then upload evidence, add links, and/or enter comments in the Comments text field.
TIP
The actions needed on Step 2 will vary depending on whether your assigned item is an assessment, request, control or issue.
Click Send.
TIP
Please note that information inserted into the Comments text field does not get exported when evidence is downloaded. However, it will always be viewable in the application.
- Provide the conclusion in Step 3.
- Design - Select from the following:
- Effective.
- Ineffective.
- N/A.
- Operational effectiveness - Select from the following:
- Effective.
- Ineffective.
- N/A.
- Design - Select from the following:
- Click Complete Assessment to submit the task.
Viewing Submitted Items
To view items you've already completed and submitted, complete the following:
Click the Submitted Items box. The page displays with only the items you've completed.
TIP
Alternatively, click the To-Do Items box to return to your assigned items.
Viewing Incoming Items
The To-Do List automatically defaults to your current list that needs immediate attention. However, you can quickly see the items that will be added to your To-Do list once the current assignee submits information or verifies a submission. These are typically items that you are listed as a reviewer or a verifier.
To view upcoming tasks, complete the following steps:
- Click the Upcoming items box.
- The page refreshes with those items that will be placed in your To-Do items once an assignee completes the requested action.
Reassigning a Task
TIP
Only a user with administrative privileges can reassign items.
