What’s New in v3.4

Jira Integration Moves Out of Beta

We're excited to announce that the Jira integration has been in limited Beta as we worked to ensure it met the needs of our customers. With the 3.3 release, we added support for Task syncing so that team members may complete more work in Jira; with the 3.4 release, this functionality is now fully supported. Learn more about the Jira integration here.

Controls Display Current and Past Assessments

You asked; we listened. Any assessment conducted on a control is now readily available for view, no matter the audit. Every control sports a new tab, called Assessments, which provides a comprehensive list of active and completed assessments conducted on the control. By reviewing conclusions made and evidence provided in other audits, an assessor can make a more informed decision on the effectiveness of the control.

Sign in Page Redesigned

We redesigned the initial log in page to make it easier than ever to use. Now, it's readily apparent for users to choose whether to log in with their email address or to sign in using Google authentication.

All Users Tab Created in People/Roles

As the final phase of the People/Roles redesign, we added another tab to display all users. With this addition, all ZenGRC users are displayed on the first tab, called All Users, and then on separate tabs as determined by role. The tabs include the following:

  • All Users
  • Administrators
  • Editors
  • Readers
  • Contributors
  • No Access

Custom Attribute Types Are Locked Down

Due to the possibility of data loss, the Attribute type dropdown on a custom attribute may no longer be changed. Once created, the field is grayed out and other options are unavailable. If the situation arises where you need to change this field, our advice is to simply recreate the custom attribute and select the attribute type needed.

List of Bug Fixes

  • Audit managers for different audits using the same program can be changed without updating the audit managers for all.
  • If the Title of an object is longer than 250 characters, a descriptive error message displays and the information is truncated.
  • Recurrence buttons on tasks, assessments and requests are aligned.
  • Risks can now be deleted.
  • Fixed an error message that displayed on the Risk Heatmap.
