What is a Finding?

Findings are the last record used within the Audit program process. Findings are created directly from Control Assessments to serve as records for the gaps identified during the assessment of controls within an Audit.

The Control Assessors are responsible for creating Findings related to their assigned Control Assessments.

Who is involved in the Findings records?

The following ZenComply User Roles are involved within the Findings created from ineffective Control Assessments:

  • Control Assessor

  • Program Manager

Findings can be viewed in the list view from the Audit Overview landing page

The Finding Status is reflected as either:

OPEN

Findings default to Open state. Users are able to load attachments and modify the fields:

  • title

  • description

  • due date

  • treatment plan

CLOSED

All required evidence has been provided and the identified gap has been remediated.

What am I Viewing?

Once a Finding is created from a Control Assessment by the Control Assessor you may access that Finding from the Audit Overview page

Choose the Findings tab in the top header navigation bar to see the Findings that are associated with the Audit program
