Overview


Once instant notifications are enabled as described in Configuring Email Settings, a check box displays for selection in assessments, requests and tasks. When the box is selected and the item is saved, an email is instantly sent to the

first person assigned to the item

user in the Assessor field for assessments and to the user in the Assignee field for tasks and requests..

In addition, this check box displays when editing the assignee on an existing request or task, as well as when editing the assessor on an existing assessment.

Sending an Instant Email for a New Item


When creating assessments, complete the following:

  1.  Select the box called Notify Assessor via email just below the Assessor field to send an instant notification when the item is created or when the assessor is updated on an existing assessment.

  2. Alternatively, deselect it to wait for the user to be notified through daily digest notifications (if enabled).

For requests and tasks, complete the following:

  1.  Select the box called Notify Assignee via email just below the Assignee field to send an instant notification when the item is created or when the assignee is updated on an existing request or task.
